If you’re wondering what to make your board game playing pieces or counters from, why not take a look outside?
Go for a walk or look in your garden and collect seeds, nut shells, sticks and leave and see if you can make an insect out of them!
We found some funny looking birch catkins (long seeds) and thought they would make a long, wiggly mayfly body. We then stuck on some leaves for wings, two thin twigs for the mayfly’s long tail and two little green seeds for the eyes.
Now it’s ready to be used as a board game counter!
